Hello,
that's script should be inside the build phase tab (like the classic KMP xcode setup), not inside the pre-actions menu.

It won't work in your current configuration

that's when you're using a local SPM; currently I don't support that way.

Only with direct integration.

Actually I don't really need local SPM, I just want to make sure our shared module could be used with main app target and app-widget-extension target. Just like a shared framework between targets. Not sure what is the best practice under this scenario.

Also in my project I want to use SQLCipher Swift Package FYI.

I'm yet to find an opportunity to dig further myself, but I encountered a very similar sounding issue, this week. The error repeated several times, with this structure:

Error: error: A problem was found with the configuration of task ':path:to:module:SwiftPackageConfigAppleModuleNameCopyPackageResourcesIosSimulatorArm64' (type 'CopyPackageResourcesTask').

I first encountered the issue during CI, but managed to reproduce it locally by running xcodebuild with a -destination set to generic/platform=iOS Simulator, like so:

-configuration Debug -destination "generic/platform=iOS Simulator" \
ONLY_ACTIVE_ARCH=YES CODE_SIGN_IDENTITY="" CODE_SIGNING_REQUIRED=NO \
CODE_SIGNING_ALLOWED=NO DEVELOPMENT_TEAM=""

By changing generic/platform=iOS Simulator -> generic/platform=iOS, the issue disappears, and things complete as expected:

ONLY_ACTIVE_ARCH=YES CODE_SIGN_IDENTITY="" CODE_SIGNING_REQUIRED=NO \

It could be totally unrelated, and in fact originating from an entirely different root cause, but I figured I'd drop this in here, just in case it provides another clue.

If I manage to find a pocket of time, I'll dig deeper and loop back with further details.

@frankois944, first thank you for creating this library 👍. I am having similar issue as @tlarcher-gpsw whenever I try to build for iOS Simulator, seems like it always does arm64 x86_64 build and as you mentioned in #160, it is not supported.

Xcode builds are not very well understood by me yet, can you expand a bit more on how to resolve this? I've tried to exclude x86_64 arch in Xcode target build settings, also specifying a single arm64 arch, but it did not help, building for iOS Simulator still failed. Only removing iosX64() target works, but I feel like if I ever need to build for Intel simulator, I would be stuck.

• did you try this solution (from command line) ?

iosX64 will be soon deprecated by Kotlin (next year)
