Command produces unexpected char

Thanks for this tool! 

I followed what's on `INSTALL.md` and tried it on Kitty, Ghostty and WezTerm, working with Emacs (`emacs -nw`). 

Option seems to map to Command as expected.
But Command produces `≈` instead of mapping to options.

I tried with a fresh Emacs config as well.
