osu-lazer tachyon releases

With the new osu-lazer update with the new song select they also announced the new release model tachyon.
It's basically a unstable version to test things out using github pre-releases. ppy/osu#33162
Is this going to be packaged? How will it be packaged?
osu-lazer-tachyon-bin or a option for osu-lazer-bin?

I was not aware of this. Sure, it could be a separate package based on an option in the original. Needs a new pin and a few changes to the derivation. PRs are welcome.

Well the update video came out like 30min before i created this discussion so no wonder. I currently have other projects i'm working on and not that much nix experience so i don't think i can make a PR for this. And currently AFAIK there is no difference between Lazer and Tachyon, it's just that they will experiment with Tachyon in the future, potentially a completely new garbage collector. (btw. can you update the lazer bin package if you have the time?)

Packages are updated at midnight UTC every night. If it's not much trouble, it'll be updated in about 1.5h. I'm away currently.

No, they said in the update video that they were going to test a new GC, but it hasn't actually happened yet.
The Pre-release 2025.607.1 has no difference to 2025.607.0 ppy/osu@2025.607.0...2025.607.1
and is probably only there to test the functionality of actually changing to the Tachyon release stream.
