How do you use Yubikey for MFA

I've tried adding a Yubikey both as a "Virtual" and "Passkeys and security keys" MFA device, but I can't get any of them work as I would expect.

assume both prompts for "MFA Token" but doesn't accept the code generated when touching the Yubikey.
