Description
We would like to request support for Microsoft Azure cloud integration to enable continuous compliance monitoring and automatic evidence collection within GetProbo.
Currently, organizations running workloads on Azure need a native way to connect their Azure environments so compliance controls can be evaluated continuously without manual intervention.
Problem Statement
Teams using Azure must manually gather compliance evidence and perform periodic checks, which:
- Increases operational overhead
- Introduces the risk of outdated or incomplete evidence
- Limits real-time visibility into compliance posture
This becomes especially challenging for organizations aiming to maintain certifications like SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc., on an ongoing basis.
Proposed Solution
Add native support for Azure cloud by allowing secure integration with Azure services (via Service Principals / Managed Identities) to enable:
- Continuous monitoring of Azure resources
- Automatic evidence collection aligned with compliance controls
- Periodic or real-time evaluation of configuration changes
Example Azure Services for Integration
- Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
- Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
- Azure Policy
- Azure Monitor & Activity Logs
- Azure Security Center / Defender for Cloud
- Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, Virtual Networks, Compute resources
Expected Benefits
- Reduced manual compliance effort
- Real-time compliance visibility for Azure environments
- Improved audit readiness with always-up-to-date evidence
- Better adoption of GetProbo for Azure-first organizations
Additional Context
Many compliance platforms already support AWS and GCP, and adding Azure support would significantly expand GetProbo’s applicability for enterprises and startups operating primarily on Microsoft cloud infrastructure.
