This feature request is interesting, but implementing deep research functionality itself would be far beyond the current scope of the Smart Composer plugin. If these research tools eventually provide APIs that could be integrated, that might be a possibility for future consideration.

Is the deep research based on the local Vault valuable?

Often "out of scope" = "none of our business", we are better off asking for MCP integration, and then get the other deep research repos to make their tools MCP-accessible

Please are there FOSS alternatives like Perplexica that we can integrate? That requires Docker tho (I think Ollama and other tools can also go into Docker)
