Extremely slow performance on the Vault

For the past 2-3 weeks, I have been really struggling to use the plugin. While it is enabled, my vault becomes extremely sluggish on macOS, and practically unusable on the iPad (my primary machine). Especially on the iPad, the vault will either take over 2 minutes to open, or not open at all. The moment I disable the plugin, everything works fine.

For reference, I have about 5,740 notes in my vault, and here's the sizes of the embedding databases:

Is there any way I can troubleshoot this further, and if not are there any plans of refactoring the plugin in the future?

Same issue here. Such an useful plugin but struggling with the load times.
