[Feature Request] Allow background image per profile #2274
Description
I'm a fullstack dev, mainly on Python and React.
I have a ton of these open on each project. I try and have a different profile for things like backend, frontend, DB, server SSH, etc. However, there's only so much I can vary on my profiles because I have low vision and I'm stuck to very dafl / black backgrounds. If I could have a background image that I could place like the badge, this would make a ton of difference for usability. This is a feature that I used in Windows, with Windows Terminal.
Currently, we're limited to a global background image that depends on transparency, meaning that:
- it contributes nothing to distinguish activities, and
- it comes at the sacrifice of readability.
I do not speak D, or Gnome for that matter, but I'm inclined to think that this would not be a far cry from what is there now, and it would certainly make this a much better user experience.
