Safty Door Issues, no Spindel start

Hello Terje Io,

Safety door issue, when I open the door during the programme cycle, the spindle moves to its parking position and switches off. IoSender then displays DOOR:1 and Check Door. When I close the door again, DOOR:0 is displayed and Cycle start is possible, which I then activate. The spindle moves to its last position and continues to do its job, but unfortunately the spindle no longer starts, no more speed.

It works for me with a STM32F4xx driver, I do not have a F3xx board at hand for testing.
Anyway can you post your settings so I can check with those.

No luck, your settings still works with the F4xx driver. Do you control the spindle with both on/off and PWM signals or only one of them? If both is none coming back on, if only one then which?

First, I had to look through my documents and circuit diagrams. Do you know how long ago it was when I built this CNC machine?

If I'm not mistaken and remember correctly, I use an on/off switch, spindle enable on the FOR connection on the FU and the 0-10 volt input on the FU to control the speed.
Do I perhaps need to set something else on the FOR connection on the frequency converter? It is currently set to ‘for rotation’. I think run or stop are also possible. Or is the error somewhere else?

I have checked the driver spindle code visually and it is virtually identical to the F4xx version.
Since the previous version was working correctly there must be something that has changed in the firmware, but what?
Can you try connecting with a terminal, such as PuTTY, start the spindle and then close and open the door.
Send ~ to execute cycle start after the door is closed. Is the spindle spinning up again? If not compare the voltages on the spindle PWM and the spindle on signals with those when it is running? Both are different? 0V when not running?

You're asking me to do things, but I'm more of a mechanic. :) :) :)
So I connected to Putty. Spindle enable is always on for me. Regardless of whether the spindle is on or off.
The spindle does not rotate after the ~ command, it is exactly the same as with IOSender. I can measure voltage at the PWM pin when the spindle is running and none when it is off. After the ~ command cycle start and door closed, there is no voltage at the PWM pin.
After that, it can no longer be started simply with M3. I first have to send the programme end code M30 so that I can start it again with M3Sxxxx.

BTW, I don't have a probe anymore either. Or is that a settings problem?

After that, I switched to the last firmware I used. It is version 1.1f.20231222, driver version: 231209.
There, the safety door and the probe work as they should. I know it's a bit older, unfortunately. :)

I have retested the code (with LEDs connected to the outputs) and it works for me, also with a new option for PWM spindle ramping:

This option will be available from the next commit.

This is odd. Can you zip the firmware and attach to a comment so I can try it?

Unfortunately, it still doesn't work for me. As I said, there are no more probe.

Are you compiling with the same board map as the working version? And what is the $I output from the working version?
The generic map from way back in 2021 had a "bug" where the probe input was assigned to the same pin as the A motor direction pin, this was corrected by not enabling the probe input when A axis is enabled (in build 20210817 and later).

No, the board map from the functioning “controller build” from December, 2023, not 2021, is different. There, the probe is placed on pin GPIO B9.
I just left everything in its original state on the new “controller build” for testing and to rule out any errors. I will provide the $I output later because I first have to install the functioning “controller build.”
What do I need to change to place my probe on GPIO B9 in the new build? Board map? To get my probe back? :)

Hmm, I wonder if you modified the board map for that build and the map file has since been overwritten.
Add the $pins output from the working build so I can check.
