Using GSD in a docker sandbox claude causes high CPU on host whenever npm is running

Am I doing something wrong? I have reduced the number of cores in docker desktop to half of the number on my host. And that worked for a while (all of yesterday) but not today all of a sudden.

Adjusting the number of cores in docker desktop to half of that of my host worked for a while, but I also had to instruct claude the following:
When running npm install, use: npm install --maxsockets=2

Default is 15, I hear, and I have sucessfully used 2, 4 and 8 all of yesterday.
