Description
Checklist
- I have used the search function to see if someone else has already submitted the same bug report.
- I will describe the problem with as much detail as possible.
App version
3.8.7
Windows version
Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 24H2 | OS Build: 26100.7623
Steps to reproduce
- Install SimpleWall 3.8.7 on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 24H2.
- Ensure SimpleWall is running.
- Reboot the system.
- Start SimpleWall.
- Launch any application that initiates a new outbound network connection (e.g. installer, updater, or any executable not yet covered by an allow rule).
- At the moment when SimpleWall should display the popup asking to allow or block the connection, the application crashes.
Expected behavior
When a new outbound connection is initiated, SimpleWall should display a popup dialog asking the user to allow or block the connection, without crashing.
Actual behavior
SimpleWall crashes immediately when the popup decision should appear.
No popup is shown.
The process terminates and leaves active WFP filters behind, causing outbound connections to remain blocked until reboot.
Windows Event Viewer consistently reports an application crash with heap corruption.
