Description
I have a Samsung SM863 960.1 GB SATA 2.5 inch SSD, that, for some reason, doesn't show remaining health percentage in CrystalDiskInfo.
A CLI tool called smartctl's output is below.
C:\Windows\system32>smartctl -a /dev/sdx
smartctl 7.5 2025-04-30 r5714 [x86_64-w64-mingw32-w10-22H2] (AppVeyor)

The above only provides legacy SMART information - try 'smartctl -x' for more
According to my own research, the SMART 233 value "Media Wearout Indicator" is a good reference for remaining life, as it indicates the remaining life of the NAND chip. See reference 1 and 2 (do a Ctrl + F for "233" in order to find the section on the page regarding this particular statistic).
I will be submitting a pull request to add this functionality shortly.
It might be worth researching enterprise Intel, Seagate and Western Digital drives to determine whether they are properly programmed with a remaining percentage (as I have no idea whether other enterprise manufacturers provide a health percent unlike this Samsung drive), but the reference documents show this is a SMART value on those other 3 brands in addition to Samsung.
I don't own any enterprise drives manufactured by Intel, Seagate or Western Digital as I already confirmed the Intel 2.5" SATA SSDs have a remaining health percent indicator and I can't afford Seagate or Western Digital enterprise drives (they're quite expensive).
