SplitsTreeApp not opening

Hi Huson lab,

I am having the same issue that other users appear to be having (issue #45) where SplitsTree will not run after installation. I am using windows 11, however I experienced this issue with windows 10 as well. I have uninstalled and re-installed different versions to no effect. Previously, SplitsTree ran on my machine, but has since stopped working.

Specifically, opening SplitsTree via the executable starts the program, and a window does appear in the taskbar, but nothing further happens. clicking the icon there in the taskbar does nothing and no GUI with the program ever appears, leaving no way to interact with the program. Issue #34 shows the same problem, but that issue is closed and shows no solution. Do you have any suggestions?
