[Request] Stats for nerds equivalent for Playlet

Is there a way to implement a simpler Stats for nerds like thing for Playlet? I think it might be useful in diagnosing playback related problems (like mine on #801). It doesn't need to have as much info as the YouTube one. For me the things I tend to look at the Stats for nerds are:

• Video ID
• Viewport
• Current Resolution
• Codecs
• Dropped Frames

Hopefully you can integrate the idea along your planned UI that you mentioned on #559.

Lastly thanks for creating and maintaining Playlet, I've been enjoying the ad-free watching experience on TV since discovering Playlet exists when I switched to a Roku.

Thanks for the suggestion. Playlet has some video stats, but they're currently not exposed in UI. I can see how to expose this stuff.

The stats activation (using preferences) wasn't great without adding it to the player bar, so I simply added it to the new UI feature branch: https://github.com/iminsandiego/playlet/tree/feature/New-UI

@iminsandiego thanks for the work you've done on this
I remember I skimmed through the stats UI, and my advice here is to move it to a separate component entirely, and "hook" into the video player fields as needed when the UI is created, and unhook when destroyed. I believe most if not all information needed is on the video player fields, so no need to be in the player itself. This will also remove any overhead/init code when the stats ui is not used.
