Description
It appears that many TIFF images produced by tools like PhotoShop stores transparency for TIFF images as an extra sample for the color space without transparency (e.g. declaring photometric interpretation to be RGB color & use 4 samples / pixel with the extra unspecified sample being the alpha channel). As a solution to this, when the declared photometric intepretation does not contain an alpha channel, we should:
- detect the existence of extra samples and find if any of them is associated alpha
- and if there is any extra sample, intepret the first unspecified extra sample as the alpha channel
This should make TIFF images produced by these softwares readable.
