readline keybinds when inserting search patterns

Even after removing the ^A and ^E keybinds, is still no possible to use readline keybinds (like in a regular terminal shell) to move fast between my search pattern (go to the start of the pattern with ^A, to the end with ^E, etc).

So I have to write my search pattern correctly from the start otherwise I cannot go back and correct things which is a must when using regex :(

Is there any way to achieve this?

I think the main reason is seamless type-to-nav will break with the ability to jump around.
Anyway if you have something in mind please raise a PR and we'll review it.
