What You Need To Do Next

1. Test Locally (15 minutes)

Follow TESTING_GUIDE.md for complete instructions:

# Create virtual environment
python3 -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate

# Install dependencies
pip install -r requirements.txt

# Initialize database (if not done yet)
python3 setup_database.py

# Start Flask server
python3 -m flask --app app.main:app run

# Visit http://localhost:5000

Test these pages:

  • Homepage (/)
  • Hospital login (/hospital/login)
  • Hospital dashboard (/hospital/dashboard)
  • Surveillance (/surveillance)
  • API endpoints (/api/v1/*)

2. Verify Supabase Database

Run this command to verify connection:

python3 -c "from app.database import get_supabase_client; print('✓ Connected')"

Expected output: ✓ Connected (no errors)

3. Create GitHub Pull Request

# Push to GitHub
git push origin claude/review-repo-changes-404Rt

# Go to GitHub repo and create PR manually
# Title: "Add MediAlert pandemic surveillance system"
# Description: See READY_TO_DEPLOY.md

4. Deploy to Railway

Follow READY_TO_DEPLOY.md:

  1. Go to railway.app
  2. Create new project
  3. Connect GitHub repository
  4. Add environment variables:
    • SUPABASE_URL
    • SUPABASE_KEY
    • MODEL_API_URL
    • SECRET_KEY
  5. Deploy

File Quick Reference

File Purpose Lines

External Services

Troubleshooting Quick Links

Issue Solution
"Module not found" Run pip install -r requirements.txt in venv
Supabase connection error Check .env file has SUPABASE_URL and SUPABASE_KEY
Model API shows "disconnected" Verify MODEL_API_URL in .env
Hospital login not working Use admin/hospital123 and verify database initialized
Page shows 404 Check Flask is running: python3 -m flask --app app.main:app run

See TESTING_GUIDE.md for full troubleshooting section.
