Does Feishin webapp connect to server via browser or from the container?

When running the Feishin docker container web app does it do all its requests from the local browser or from where the docker container is?

I am running Navidrome and Feishin in docker containers on my server behind a reverse proxy with authelia authentication. It would be nice if I could leave the Navidrome behind that authentication and bypass it by connecting Feishin via the docker network instead of exposing parts of Navidrome unsecured.

I spun it up and it doesn't seem to work. I may have something setup wrong though and so wanted to check.

No traffic is being proxied from the container. The app talks to services directly from the browser.

I'm not surprised by that but hoped it was.

From my reading there is no way for Feishin to get to navidrome if it is behind some other authentication. Do I have that right?

I personally host Feishin on the same domain (but subpath) of Navidrome, and have it part of the same reverse proxy authentication. This allows using the browser version while also maintaining alternative auth.

It works! It is awesome I can leave navidrome secured and still use Feishin. Thanks for the idea. It should be in the documentation somewhere.
