NFC reader API in Chrome stops working sometimes

Hello,

we use the Kiosk plugin to read the serial of NFC fobs using an Allnet android tablet. Sometimes, but not always, tapping the NFC fob on to the reader does not initiate anything - after reloading the login page, everything works as expected.

What can we do here? Couldn't there be some form of watchdog, which restarts the listening for NFC tags?

The Kiosk javascript registers for the NFC actions.
There is actually no event that I could listen to. Or at least I am not aware of anything.
If you have an idea how to achieve that, please let me know and I'll implement it.

Also hard to test, if the issue cannot be reliably reproduced and needs a longer time until it shows up.

The Allnet Browser has a setting "Reload page periodically". Have you tried that one?
While this is not perfect, reloading every 15 minutes could "prevent" the issue, if it is somehow related to timeouts / long running browser sessions.
