Download episode Audio files

It's possible to download Episode to the local client and the server but I don't seem to be able to download the Episode as a file through the webapp or a client to save as a file. Is that possible or only through going to the rss link and download it from there manually?

Downloading to the server downloads a file to the location you have set in the compose volume. But there's no way currently to click a download button on the web ui to download the episode through your browser or something like that. Is there interest in this? If a single episode download would be helpful it certainly wouldn't be hard to add.

Thanks for the response. I'm downloading episodes a lot for archiving purposes and to run them through a transcription service to read them later. It would be a very useful feature but I understand that it might not be a top priority.

Wouldn't it be faster to mount a location on your server and mass download entire podcasts or multiple episodes at once using the docker mount point rather than single episodes through the web ui for that use case?
My intention with pinepods is to make it a great podcast archival platform. Which is why the download entire podcast functionality exists to the server Mount point.

Personally I have my NAS mounted to the docker volume. Then my downloads to straight to that.

I only download episodes occasionally and very eclectic, I've relied in this feature a lot in my previous podacast setups. I try to keep my Service pretty isolated so sharing server data would not be my ideal solution.

Sure, totally valid use case if that's what you prefer. I'll get it on the board to implement. Should be easy enough.
