Hmm, I wonder if pinepods was being rate limited by that specific feed due to hitting it too quickly. I will do some testing with mass downloads. If you would be willing to share the feed that you were trying to download from that might help. |

Yeah I think that's right - I only added that one feed to pinepods. The feed is a private, paid feed for this podcast hosted on Substack. Here's a private feed URL you can use for testing. That is a fresh free account I created just for this purpose. It won't be exactly the same, but I think it has at least a short preview of even the paid episodes, so hopefully it'll exhibit the same behavior. (You could also find the free feed on Apple Podcasts, but I'm not sure that's helpful since that's a totally different server.) |

I am interested in an archive of a podcast with several hundred episodes, so I added its RSS feed and checked the "Download Future Episodes Automatically" toggle. After a bit, it started downloading all the episodes going back to the beginning, which is what I wanted. However, I had two problems:
Would love to have a great podcast archival system, seems to me that lots of this kind of material just vanishes.
