Is it possible to persists the sidebar width?

I noticed that every time I reload a page (e.g., to reconnect a kernel), the sidebar width is reset. This is pretty annoying, in particular as the default sidebar width is somewhat ginormous. Is there a way the setting can be preserved across page loads? At least for the same browser session?
