Error installing pyright

I'm a junior neovim enthusiast and I'm having some trouble installing pyright with Mason.
I'm getting the following error:

I've tried everything I could think of, like removing all my nvim data files, reinstalling nodejs & npm, nothing worked.

I've managed to install another LSP (basedpyright) but neovim keeps wanting to install pyright when I open a python file (so far, I'm not getting any auto-completion but I can "goto definition" so it seems I'm partially using basedpyright).

I anyone has an idea:
1/ how to fix this problem and install pyright OR:
2/ use another LSP for completion.
I would be forever grateful.

FYI, I'm using lazyvim, vanilla.
