Description
The Roboto font used in the example setup files has no support for CJK scripts (e.g., Japanese, Korean). If any music titles (or artist name) includes such characters, they just get rendered (via FreeType) as a "missing glyph" rectangle.
Reading through the discussion for Issue 4808 with Pillow:
it seems like folks are working on adding font fallback capability to Pillow. That seems like it would be the best solution -- using a specified font as the default and then resorting to, say, a Noto Sans font for missing glyphs.
Thus far, fortunately, no one (at least in the classical, jazz, pop, and soundtracks I like to collect) has started putting emojis into album or track names.
