[Bug]: Publish a specific build mode to an environment

Describe the issue

I ran my CI/CD that created the artifacts for my 2 build modes.

Artifact Christeyns-Kernel-BC25.00-CLOUDApps-1.0.5.0 has been successfully uploaded! Final size is 1633977 bytes. Artifact ID is 5304376916

I have an environment defined CDS_LVC that uses buildmode CLOUD

Last week I opened another issue about running a release action for a build mode, that feature was not implemented. But afaik this should work or am I misunderstanding something?

Expected behavior

AL-GO should find the artifact related to the buildmode defined in the environment setting

Steps to reproduce

run CI/CD for a buildmode
run publish to an environment with that environment set to use the build mode

From https://aka.ms/algosettings#deployto you can see that the DeployTo<Env> structure has BuildMode (not BuildModes). I assume that is the reason the build mode you specified isn't picked up.

Can you please add the full log from the deployment?

Also, did you obfuscate part of the logs? Because it looks like there is a secret value matching part of the org name and GitHub is substituting it with ***.

I had a brief look. Looks like a bug to me.

I think if you run it from CI/CD (so with ContinuousDeployment true) it should work but I don't think it works from the "Publish to Environment" workflow.

Thanks for confirming that it is a bug.

fyi, I forked AL-GO and described the issue to github agent. He identified the cause and fixed it :)
I then updated the al-go system files in my repo with my forked al-go repo and I was able to release the specific build mode with the "publish to environment" action

this is the processed PR
