Will the newest version v0.2.5 work with Home Assistant 2024.2.2? (because v0.2.0 has stopped to work today)

Hello,
I would like to upgrade volkswagen_we_connect_id from v0.2.0 to v0.2.5. I am afraid it will not work with my current version of HA 2024.2.2.

Today my volkswagen_we_connect_id has stopped to work. It shows that it was correctly reloaded from HA, but every sensor is Unavailable.
Every sensors shows "This entity is no longer being provided by the volkswagen_we_connect_id integration. If the entity is no longer in use, delete it in settings."

• Several restarts of HA also did not help.
• I do not see any ERRORS in logs, only WARNINGS.
• No agreement/consent on VW site is requested, which was obvious cause of problems in the past.

Maybe upgrade to 0.2.5 could help? But why it suddenly has stopped?

I am not able to upgrade my HA for now so I am asking, if 0.2.5 will work with HA 2024.2.2.

Actually that is "good" news - it means that this is not only my problem. Hopefully someone will be able to resolve it.

(I am hitting this as well.) I've tried to downgrade back to 2025.1.1 without any change so the HomeAssistant version shouldn't be the cause here.

I've also tried to remove and set up the integration again but no entity appears.

But a good sign is that I've tried to set up another integrations, and the information is loaded correctly. (=> The API should still be accessible.)

I got an update in my car today. It was because VW had updated their backend was the message. Maybe it is because of that.

I have the same issue and just posted on the HA Community forum. Same backend update. The integration shows logged in but all entities are unavailable and the car shows offline but it isn't because up to date data is showing in the VW app.

@lachmanfrantisek I too just downloaded the the other integration you mentioned and yes it reports data. However this integration has more entities reported than the other one. So hopefully we can get a fix!

I'm not sure what "not working" means for the different people in this thread, but maybe this will help.

I just tried to add a new car to the integration and it wasn't showing up. No devices and no entities added. It turns out that /vehicles/<VIN>/model was not being provided by the API! Since the integration checks for supported models, this meant that the car was being ignored.

I locally commented out the check for supported models and managed to add the new car. One new device and all entities appear to be working correctly.

Sounds like a nice workaround.

I removed l68 of __init__.py:

        for vin, vehicle in _we_connect.vehicles.items():
            if vehicle.model.value in SUPPORTED_VEHICLES:
                vehicles.append(vehicle)

becomes:

        for vin, vehicle in _we_connect.vehicles.items():
            vehicles.append(vehicle)

Which works for me because I only have one vehicle associated to my account.
