A message from unitaryDESIGN about AI Slop: "While we are open to collaboration with LLMs for unitaryDESIGN, please note that fully AI-generated PRs are not acceptable. It is up to the discretion of the individual maintainers whether or not LLM-generated PRs are the right fit for their issues, and they have the right to reject those that appear fully AI-generated."

Motivation

As part of our ongoing efforts to build a fully fledged compiler infrastructure in MQT Core, we are in need of some nice visualizations to portray these efforts to the outside world.

Tasks

This issue involves the following three tasks:

  1. Design a logo for the QC dialect.
  2. Design a logo for the QCOdialect.
  3. Design a logo for the Quantum Device Management Interface (QDMI).

The logos, especially for tasks 1 and 2, should somehow resemble the modality of the dialects, i.e., the reference- or memory semantics for QC and the value semantics for QCO. For more details on the dialects, refer to the above-referenced parts of the documentation.

Inspiration

We had some initial designs for illustrations in the RFC for our dialects: #1225
These could serve as inspiration for this task.

Since our MLIR Dialects are now called QC and QCO, we may use the "Q" from our MQT logo to stylize the logo for the dialects. Our logos can be found at: https://github.com/munich-quantum-toolkit/.github/tree/main/docs/_static

Requirements

All created images shall be vector graphics, preferably in SVG format.
They should adhere to existing design principles as closely as possible.
A suitable color palette to choose from would be the unofficial TUM palette: https://gist.github.com/lnksz/51e3566af2df5c7aa678cd4dfc8305f7
The logos shall be released under the same license as MQT Core and QDMI.
