Waybar and Workspaces question

I have 2 monitors, when I set the dot files setting to have 5 workspaces I usually end up with something like 1 2 3 4 5 on monitor A and 1 2 6 7 8 9 10 on monitor B. This is fine but if I set the workspaces number to 10 then I end up with 1-10 on monitor A and 1 2 10 11 12 13 ... 20 on monitor B and I can't access any of the 11-20 workspaces with the keyboard, I have to click on the workspace icon in waybar to access those workspaces. Is there a way to just have 1-10 on both monitors? Or is 10 too many and should stick to 5? Thanks!

Hi. You can see here that 10 key bindings exists to switch between workspaces: https://github.com/mylinuxforwork/dotfiles/blob/main/dotfiles/.config/hypr/conf/keybindings/default.conf (Line 80).
I assume that you have to create a custom waybar conf to split the workspaces between the monitors?! But I have never done this because I have one monitor only.

Thanks and sorry I wasn't very clear on what my issue was, let me clarify.

Basically I was ending up with twice as many workspaces when setting the count to 10 in the ML4W settings under the waybar section and maybe because I am using 2 monitors waybar assumed I wanted 10 on each monitor so I was ending up with 20. Creating a custom waybar conf as you suggested did the trick.

My goal was to have 10 workspaces and have the odd numbered ones bound to monitor A and the even numbered ones bound to monitor B.

My monitors are called DP-2 and DP-3. First I bound the workspaces using nwg-displays: 1=DP-2, 2=DP-3, 3=DP-2 ...

Then made sure to use the nwg-displays.conf under the monitor variations in the ML4W Settings, System tab.

I changed the Workspaces section to the following in the .conf/waybar/modules.json

After that the workspace icons now correctly list 1,3,5,7,9 on DP-2 and 2,4,6,8,10 on DP-3. Using the super+N shortcut also focuses the appropriate monitor.
