Should I switch from Fedora to openSUSE? #1446

I’m currently using Fedora 43 with the latest versions of ML4W and Hyprland. I ran into a few package issues at first, but I think I’ve resolved them all, and overall my experience has been pretty good. That said, I’m wondering whether switching to openSUSE would give a better experience going forward, especially with upcoming updates. Has anyone switched from Fedora to openSUSE? Or if you’re already using openSUSE, how has your overall experience been? |

Personal choice. Both make you to go outside their repos to find what you need. zypper is still slower than dnf. I support both, and more for another project. They are pretty equivalent overall. Obviously Hyprland works the same. I know the person who does the Fedora COPR for hyprland so I know it's always updated. usually within hours of a new package release of Hyprland. Not just the major version updates but as individual packages are updated he updates the COPR. |
