Great project just minor things

Really a great project appreciate the work & efforts which has been given here.

There are few things which i felt is needed.

1. Tariffs can be more complicated not just the rate card there can be many scenarios & some extra components to it
2. Meter Reading -> Choosing customer should select all the fields rather than selecting all one by one example if customer X has meter Y then selecting customer X should automatically select meter Y & also the property and all because we can have N number of meters & probably will never know which meter belongs to what customer also if not automatically selected atleast list only those meters which belongs to the customer
3. Item = Meter when utility item is selected then serial no wise -> I had made one customer & generated 2 serial no for one item/meter but when coming to meter reading meter number is not coming is this correct way or i'm doing wrong here? Do i need to create multiple items/meters for each customer?

On Meter Selection:

• The system only shows serial numbers (meters) that have status as “Active”.
• These must be allocated to the customer (e.g. via Warranty Claim).
• If there’s only one matching serial number, it will be automatically selected.
• If there are multiple, it will filter and show only those allocated to the customer.

On Tariffs:

We’d love to understand your tariff setup better. Could you please share a few sample scenarios or tariff structures you currently use (e.g. time-of-day pricing, usage slabs, or any extra components)?

Thank you for showing the meter selection thing i will definately try it out & let you know on that part.

Regarding tariff

1. The simple block method which is available lower limit & upper limit
2. Standard billing/Flat rate for the consumption
3. Having a minimum consumption limit example is the minimum consumption is "10" (which can be set in tariff or customer level) & is the actual consumption is "6" then the minimum consumption should be charged
4. Static rate for extra components which will just apply to the sales order/invoice
5. Dynamic price incrementation year on year or month either multiplied by consumption or static
6. Conditions & logics around these tariffs like how we have in erpnext payroll components like lets say example if the customer bills are unpaid then add +1 to the rate
7. time-of-day pricing is also a great one to have & also Time-of-Use (ToU)
8. Demand-Based in which charges are based on the maximum demand

I think some static components will make sense plus the option to play with conditions & also tracking of historical changes of all these rates/pricings which will help us to take better decisions.

for me at meter selection i have one customer with 2 warranty claims as shown in the video but the serial no/meter number dropdown shows like this
shows 2 serial numbers allocated to the customer as in filter but unable to select one

This issue is likely occurring because the serial numbers are not marked as Active, as they are not in stock (currently requires to be in stock to work). We will update the system to allow selection of all allocated serial numbers, regardless of their status, in order to resolve this.

Alright understood how do i make it active manually? I don't see any active field in serial no. where do i have to check that?

To resolve the issue, please create a Material Receipt stock entry for the associated item and make sure to add the relevant serial numbers in that entry. This will update the Serial no status to Active.

You can only make them active by creating an inward stock transaction, purchase receipt, material receipt(stock entry), or a stock reconciliation
