error: failed to run custom build command for 'ckb-vm v0.22.1'

It currently throws the above errors when running cargo install ckb-cli and with a couple installations like with the yasm and clang via LLVM on Windows, the errors still doesn't seem to be solved even though the error messages are cueing the need for them.

I currently have the latest VS build tool running so, that's not it.

Yes, I have. It's the locked flag that gets me here. Anything aside that doesn't get any far.

but the recent ckb-cli is using ckb-vm@0.24.14:

ckb-cli/Cargo.lock

Lines 1027 to 1028 in 80efc21

	name = "ckb-vm"
	version = "0.24.14"

But in your cargo build, you are building ckb-vm@0.22.1.

I got the same error message just a different version tagged. Concerning the version, it seems the latest has not been published to crates.io as I have been running cargo install ckb-cli --locked before now.

The error is not same. is gcc avalible on you machine? Try install gcc,

Or you can use the ckb-cli from https://github.com/nervosnetwork/ckb/releases/tag/v0.204.0

I have gcc installed, I have been through that cycle. The second option works well. Thank you so much
