Since v28beta Some feeds load over and over again, others behave normally

Explain the Problem

One of my feeds ( https://www.notebookcheck.com/News.37.100.html ) is constantly pulling old articles that have already been marked as read as new articles

Steps to Reproduce

Feeds are automatically refreshed and some seemingly random items return as unread. My other feeds like for instance ( https://www.computerbase.de/rss/news.xml ) work fine

• News app version: 28.0.0-beta1
• Nextcloud version: 32.0.2
• Cron type: (system cron/python updater/...) cron
• PHP version: 8.3
• Database and version: mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.11.13-MariaDB, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using EditLine wrapper
• Browser and version: Firefox 145
• OS and version: Ubuntu Linux 25.10

not relevant as although in Firefox also happens in chromium etc and no error message on screen

Hey, not sure what the issue could be, you could check your pruning settings it can happen that items are deleted that still exist in the feed file then they will be added again with the next update. Another reason could be that the items are put again with new guids then they will appear again.

But I don't have time to check that.

Apologies, been not on the ball - let me try the latest beta and confirm, the notebookcheck https://www.notebookcheck.com/News.37.100.html is still affected. will try different lanuages of that feed
