Session Management Using ACP

Curious what the plan is for managing sessions when using ACP adapters. Currently, sure, you can have multiple chats; however, if I'm not mistaken, it's not possible to necessarily resume a session. Or view past sessions the agentic tool has stored.

I know /resume isn't supported as a slash command; however, loadSession is supported by ACP. Looking at the code for CodeCompanion, we seem to actually already capture if loadSession is a capability of the ACP host. It's not used though, right?

As always, I'd be delighted to work on a PR. Just want to align on the vision for what this should look like.

session/load has been implemented but there's now way to invoke it. I had never added that in because at the time of implementation, Gemini CLI (and Claude Code when we received the ACP adapter) didn't support it. And I'm not sure that they currently do.

Hi, the manual says

Session Persistence: Resume previous conversations across Neovim sessions

But I couldn't figure out how to do this (using claude code adapter). Is this due to the still open zed issue you linked (if so the manual should probably mention this)? Or am I missing something else?

Regarding ACP, I'm going to take a look at Session Modes next and possibly Terminals thereafter.
