• Can we use an isolate for language change ?
• I just had a terrible janky experience in the new Community/Settings dashboard because of it, as I moved to test French.
• I really often switch languages to demo the app to people, so it's really a showstopper for me.

Can you describe your bad experience?
I've just changed languages in my app, and it went smoothly.

Would it be that automatically reloading all your local products in the new language demands too much?

• we have to download again ALL your local products, haven't we?
• an isolate wouldn't help regarding the actual download operation
• an isolate may help in the unJSONing of the data - as feat: 1055 - new experimental class "FlexibleProduct" openfoodfacts-dart#1056 would have but that's another story. cf. https://codewithandrea.com/articles/parse-large-json-dart-isolates/ too
• we can download by smaller pages (current page size is 20), so that the unJSONing would be less demanding (but more calls to the server)
• we could add a 10 second wait between each next page download
• we may add a dialog asking if the user wants to download again all the local products
• we may limit the download to the most recent 100 products
