Background tracking support for iOS

What is the bug or the crash? What were your expectations and what actually happened?

I have my phone permission set to always allow location access to the QField app, my expectation is that I can lock my screen and QField will continue tracking, however if I lock my screen or go into a different app, it stops tracking. When I return to the app it resumes tracking by drawing a line directly from where it stopped to my new location.

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Start tracking
2. Lock screen or go out of the app
3. Move to new location
4. When app opened again a straight line will draw from where it stopped to new location (not necessarily following the path you took to get there)

Reinstall QField

• I have a fresh install of the latest QField version, but the problem persists.
• Problem can be reliably reproduced, doesn't happen randomly.
• Problem happens with all files and projects, not only some files or projects.

Hello, I'd like to ask how you resolved the compilation issues of gdal on iOS?

@alongLFB , we're using vcpkg to manage our builds across all supported platforms (Android, iOS, linux, macos, windows). You can see the vcpkg gdal port here: https://github.com/microsoft/vcpkg/tree/master/ports/gdal .

but when I try to build this project for iOS. there are also some errors that can not build successfully. so sad😭
