No single source of truth for tracking state for tracking

What is the bug or the crash? What were your expectations and what actually happened?

After I accidentally switched apps during tracking and then back to gfield, there were two different states for tracking. The tracking icon was displayed on the layer and the gnns status. A short click on the tracking icon in the layer displayed the message overlay with the action to press stop. However, nothing happened when I clicked on stop.
On the other hand, the pop-up that appeared when I long-clicked on the layer showed the button "set up tracking".
It looks to me as if there is no single source of truth for status management of tracking.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Switch app during tracking and back to qfield.

Reinstall QField

• I have a fresh install of the latest QField version, but the problem persists.
• Problem can be reliably reproduced, doesn't happen randomly.
• Problem happens with all files and projects, not only some files or projects.
