Yearly budget best practices

I am wondering how to properly set and manage a yearly budget, especially regarding the "Left to spend" widget.
I have few budgets set, most of them monthly, some for longer periods. I have a bit of an issue with the yearly budget.
My monthly budgets are in a hundreds of euros, but the yearly budgets for family vacation and renovations around the house are obviously larger - over my regular monthly income. Also these expenses are spent at specific times, e.g. 80% of the vacation budget is spent during the summer holidays, the house budget is spent at 3-4 irregular occasions.

Now these yearly budgets make the "Left to spend" widget kinda useless, as even when i deplete my regular monthly budgets it shows i am "free to spend" an amount which is 3x my regular income.
