This is pretty cool! I did not know that Input Remapper could do such advanced stuff. I'll definitely link this guide if somebody asks for mouse-only activation on Linux! I'll also put a link on the homepage. Thanks a lot! |

I am a heavy mouse gesture user. After switching to Linux ( Bluefin, which is a truly elegant distribution), I spent some time figuring out how to use Kando with just the mouse without affecting the mouse's original button functionality. Unexpectedly, Input Remapper supports simple scripting, making this possible. I'm sharing this for those who might find it helpful.

The examples below all use
CTRL+SHIFT+F5to open the menu; feel free to modify this. TheTargetoption is also crucial: be sure to set it according to the buttons you use. If your configuration does not involve a mouse, selectKeyboardinstead ofKeyboard + Mouse, as selecting the latter can interfere with stroke mode.Configurations
Right Click + Left Click, continue holding Right Click to operate the menu directly.
If multiple menus are bound to the same shortcut key, clicking the left mouse button allows you to switch between the menus:
