I’m interested in contributing to TiDB and I’m planning to apply for Google Summer of Code 2026.

I wanted to ask:

• Did TiDB apply or plan to participate in GSoC 2026?
• If yes, are there any recommended areas or beginner-friendly issues for prospective contributors to start with during the community bonding period?
