Is there a report export feature?

Hey there,

Was surprised to discover Planka via the Truenas app portal after searching for kanban like options elsewhere and not finding it..

Seems great and the online demo does everything I want except for one thing in my freelance workflow: Export "work done" in a period with time taken & task information that I can use to create my invoices or even just a report on how long it took me to do something or what I spent my time on in the period. Nothing special needed, just a plain export to csv that I can drop into Excel and use.

I've seen other products that also dont provide exporting of the data but they do have a table UI that one can simply copy and paste - not great but functional. However, none of these competing products did what I needed on the kanban side though...

Exporting data in Planka seems like a request going back years but I dont see anything new in this regard - apologies if I have missed it somewhere?

I also see that people have suggested pulling this directly from the db but I'd prefer not to have to do that if at all possible for obvious reasons, least of which is that I wouldnt even have time to do this myself if I wanted to and I definitely wouldnt want to have to keep it updated with schema changes.

The pro version doesnt seem to have this kind of feature either so....

Cant even give Planka a trial run without this kind of export... so hoping there is something out there...

Hey! Thanks for the feedback. You're right - this would be a nice feature to have. There are still several gaps in PLANKA around reporting and data export, and a lot of it comes down to time and available development capacity. So there's no built-in solution for this at the moment, aside from using the API or connecting via tools like n8n. But we'll definitely try to add something like this in the future.

Thanks for the reply - appreciated. Fully understand the issue around too much to do and too little time or hands to do it. I'm in exactly the same boat with my projects - hence the reason I need a kanban board cause I keep dropping balls and my to-do-lists are lists of lists!. Anyway, I've put a watch on the project and will keep an eye on it. Good luck with the recent sales/services push I see on your website.
