Is Pico Commissioner expected to come back, or should we use a different approach now?

You can always build the firmware with the parameters specifically for your board.

A miser pays twice; someone who believed in open source pays three times. Given the author’s new stance, the price, and the overall approach — is there even a single argument left in favor? You can’t reliably build firmware for your own device and get everything you need; you have to buy an application.

Previously you used Pico Commissioner — now you don’t. Open source? Who knows what this application is doing behind the scenes? And in that case, how is this any different from buying a ready-made device for the same money, but with better support?

Exactly, I wanted to use pico-fido, but now, at that price for ONE device, I'll pass and go for other solutions.
