Future plans of next releases in liboqs

milkem-native v1.0 is integrated in liboqs already. I wanted to confirm if there is a plan in future to merge the next versions ?

I ask specifically as the sanity check APIs are not "external" in v1.0 that makes the ACVP vectors for those tests currently untestable.

if there is no plan of release in the near future, I can create a small patch in liboqs making the APIs external(removing static).

You raise a very good point. An update in liboqs is long overdue.
As being discussed in #1519, we will soon have more regular releases. At least every 3 months, but more likely every 1-2 months. The next release should be this month.
Once the next release is out, I'll update mlkem-native in liboqs; we'll then discuss with the oqs team on update frequency.

I would like to avoid patches in liboqs if in any way possible. If you need it urgently, you could use the most recent version in the main branch.
