How do I hide files in Tree View?

I'm using macOS, so of course I have lots of extra invisible files containing extended attributes. 🙄

How can I hide files that start with a dot (.) or a dot underscore (._) in the Tree View, e.g., ._.DS_Store?

I'm glad that they are grayed out, but I want them gone.

Settings -> Core -> Ignored Names should contain .DS_Store among its entries; if it's not there, add it. (._* is also present in that list for me, but add that one as well if it's not there.)

Once you've done that, go to the tree-view settings (Settings -> Packages -> search for tree-view -> Settings) and make sure “Hide Ignored Names” is checked.
