Cannot compile and make executable on Ubuntu 18.04

It doesn't look like the make file is being compiled correctly? No install file is generated so 'make install' obviously doesn't work. Is a specific compiler required?

There is no "install" target in the makefile. After running "make", you have to take the "fqs-0.1" binary and install it manually to whatever location you like.
