What happened?
(This is a feature request, not a bug report, so I entered a debug log ID for an arbitrary item in my library.)
Currently, in Better BibTeX settings > Export > Miscallaneous, there is a setting for sorting the TeX/CSL output which applies to all automatic exports. Could the setting be made per-autoexport? Or perhaps a per-autoexport optional override?
Motivation: The way I use automatic exports is that I make a Zotero collection for every project and set up an automatic BibTeX export to the directories for papers about that project. The paper directories are version-controlled and I like to check in the (sorted) .bib files so that I or my collaborators can work on the paper somewhere else without Zotero. I hadn’t changed the default sort order of “item creation time”, but after a recent update or re-sync or something (not sure what exactly happened), one of my exported bibliographies suddenly had a diff with reordered items; and this made me realize that “alphabetically by citation key” is a better sort order for my use case, so I changed it. But this in turn creates large reordering diffs in the exported bibliographies of other past projects, which I would like to avoid, to have a clean working directory for those repositories, and to have a usable human-readable diff if I actually do catch a bibliography typo or something later on. In short, I would like to have different sort orders for different automatically exported collections.
