Citation key field no longer automatically filled in

What happened?

When I import a file (either via de web browser extension or by uploading a file) the citation key field stay empty eventhough when I click edit>settings>BetterBibTex there seems to be a citation key for this item, but it seems to not correctly be filled into the citation key field. This has been happening since yesterday. All papers imported before that time have the citation key field filled in.

This is my first time reporting a bug/issue, so if I should include more information, please let me know.

I don't know what this means, citation keys are not shown in the settings

Can you give me the title of an item you imported that did not get a citation key?

In the settings it shows an example of what the citation key for this item should be when using the citation key formula and this does show that it seems to be able to generate it? I have added a screenshot of what I see:

This is one of the papers I have this issue with. The title is "Effect of Trace Amounts of Chloride on Roughening of Au(111) Single-Crystal Electrode Surface in Sulfuric Acid Solution during Oxidation–Reduction Cycles"

That screenshot of the preferences shows a preview of what the citation key would be when (re)set, not what it is.

The title is "Effect of Trace Amounts of...

I don't see a change for this item in NP73E7CP-refs-euc, so I can't tell whether the key generation fails.

I tried to get the debug report again from this item, but otherwise I would not know how to show you what happened. The citation key just does not appear for any item I add currently.
