Hi! Just to clarify, the document you’re referring to is part of the Self-hosting section under Advanced, and it’s also linked from the simpler docs page here:
Yes, indeed you still have to scroll down a bit on that target page to find it, which might be suboptimal As more installation methods are added (like using Traefik, Cloudflare Tunnels, etc.), and if @goldflag is open to sharing those on their end too, we might consider adding a table of contents at the top of the self-hosting section to help users quickly navigate between the different options, or having more distinct sidebar menus, since the sidebar structure is already designed to make the range of methods - simple, advanced, and so on - clear at a glance. Regarding the use of a setup.sh script: it’s actually quite a common and accepted approach in many installable tools. These scripts are auditable and relatively straightforward. While not everyone may prefer this method (I for example do not, which is why I came up with the Docker doc you linked), it’s just one of several available, and it’s especially helpful for those who want a smoother, more automated setup without diving too deep into the manual steps. Everyone has their preferences :D |

@goldflag is it possible to create a new page to put under the "Self Hosting" section, with Sidebar Menu item label "Docker Compose", and put the contents I had put under https://www.rybbit.io/docs/self-hosting-advanced#docker-compose-setup-with-npm-without-exposing-ports in there, instead of where they are right now? I can easily commit the change and add new file, but I am not sure if it will appear automatically in the sidebar as an item? |

Hi, on docs page i not see option with docker compose. Could you update instruction.
That's very bad practice to run any random shell scripts from internet on server side, so as user I confused when i see instructions kinda "run this script on server".
It would be better to give docker compose config and instructions how to up the service and some troubleshooting section.
