Main themes - Concurrent scale-out and scale-in - Support 2024.2 and Tablets - Ability to change cluster sizes in a stable and rapid way. Speed should be competitive with DynamoDB speed and superior over all other DBs - Ability to boot a cluster fast - target around 2-3 minutes. - Improve the cluster storage utilization from 50%-70% range today to 70%-90% range - Ability to run clusters in mixed node sizes and types. This allows cluster expansion by better granularity - in increments of our smallest supported nodes i4i.large - Consolidate small instances.
