Unable to spawn subagents

Codex keeps complaining about a lack of some sort of Task skill and that it can't spawn subagents because of this. It seems unable to solve this issue itself. This has occurred on two different machines.

@shoootyou codex cli doesnt have /clear, does it? Maybe we can use /new? Because It always says: _{/clear first → fresh context window} also 5.3 codex is availabe on paid plans only?

@NotSoMik nope. Codex works differently. You need to use /new to reset everything. I’ll try to add logic in the Codex installer to map /clean to /new.

@NotSoMik I forgot to answer this. The Codex app uses the same files in the .codex folder, so you’ll see the skills there too. Use the same method—invoke them with the $ prefix, and you’ll see the full list.

@shoootyou I’m trying this out in the GitHub Copilot CLI, and I know it has a completely different vibe from Claude Code but do you plan to add all the features from the original GSD? That repo updates almost every day, so I wanted to check whether this will eventually be close to using the original version on Claude Code, alternatively, they’re actively looking for contributors gsd-build/get-shit-done#76 (comment)

Hey @NotSoMik For now, the main focus is bringing the agents/skills/templates over to GitHub Copilot and Codex, that’s my primary goal. Other features like hooks aren’t something I’m planning to make compatible yet.

To contribute back to the original project properly, I need time to send a complete PR. The upstream repo currently relies on hardcoded paths, while this repo works more like a template-based system that renders the original files. I’ll likely open a PR to the original project in the next few months, but I’ve had a lot on my plate lately and haven’t been able to carve out the time. @.@

That said, what I'm planning to ship soon is an automated mechanism so that every new upstream release can be ported into this repo automatically. The goal is to pull in improvements to agents/skills/templates much faster.
