With https://lite.datasette.io/ you can point datasette straight at a CSV and it will automatically use sqlite-utils to detect types, convert it to a database, and serve.

But with the "full" datasette you have to do this in separate steps (basically this discussion):

datasette data.csv  # sqlite3.DatabaseError: file is not a database

sqlite-utils insert data.db csv data.csv --csv --detect-types
datasette data.db  # OK

Since datasette depends on sqlite-utils anyway, what would it be like to let datasette open CSVs and other formats directly?
